DEPUTIES IN CHARGE

Here are a few words from Deputy Rangers

LISA KEMPBALL_MG_7978.jpg

Deputy Lisa K

Lisa Kemball founded Sheriff About Town in 2014, bringing skills from her previous careers in the corporate world, childcare, and performance to develop the business. It’s grown in leaps and bounds since Lisa started walking her friends’ dogs back in 2014, in no small part thanks to Lisa’s dedication and passion. Sheriff About Town was named after Lisa’s first dog, the famous Sheriff. He passed away in 2018 but lives on in the Sheriff About Town logo. Lisa and her partner have two dogs of their own, Monty and Marvin (recently adopted via Denise At Paws).

Deputy Lisa B

Lisa started her career as a dog groomer before moving into dog walking four years ago. She has five of her own dogs and is fostering up to five more at any given time - she's dog-crazy!! Lisa is also a driving force behind Denise At Paws (DAP), a not-for-profit dog rescue organisation that rescue, rehabilitate and re-home lost and abandoned dogs in NSW. She is the foster care coordinator at DAP and if you are interested in becoming a foster parent for a dog in need Lisa would love to talk to you! Lisa has a wealth of experience and continues to grow her professional knowledge through training courses such as Certificate IV in Companion Handling Services.

MICHAEL WHETLEY_MG_7826.jpg

Deputy Michael

Michael has a massive love for animals and is very confident with dogs of all shapes and sizes. He has a staffy and two cats at home - all rescues! Michael works with us 2 - 3 days a week, and the other days (nights) he is a professional musician entertaining the masses with his mad music and singing skills.

ALANA_SELBY_MG_7930.jpg

Deputy Alana

Alana has a passion for all animals, especially dogs. In the past two years she has fostered over 20 dogs, and through that process became interested in dog training as she worked to rehabilitate her foster dogs. She has recently completed a dog training course at the National Dog Trainers Federation, becoming a fully qualified dog trainer. Alana also has her own, much-loved dog - a Star-Pei X German Shepard, who was one of her foster dogs that she just couldn't say goodbye to!
